COMPATTO

COMPATTO is a mid-season basil variety belonging to the thin-leaved or Greek type, characterized by its compact size and neat spherical crown. The plant reaches a height of 20-30 cm and forms a dense emerald ball with small bright green leaves. Thanks to short internodes and dense foliage, the bushes look very decorative and are suitable for growing in small pots, containers, on balconies and terraces, as well as in gardens and greenhouses. The dwarf bush does not require pruning and easily fits into any interior or landscape design.

The leaves and young shoots of COMPATTO basil have a rich, bright aroma with pepper and clove notes, giving dishes a special depth of flavor. The plant is widely used in cuisine as a seasoning and flavoring addition to meat and fish dishes, salads, marinades, and pickles. Leaves are used both fresh and dried or frozen, which allows maintaining the aroma and flavor for a long time.

For successful cultivation, COMPATTO requires a bright and warm place, as the plant does not tolerate frost. Sowing seeds is recommended in late March - early April at a depth of 0.5-1 cm. The harvest is collected at the beginning of flowering in dry weather, which ensures maximum concentration of aroma and flavor. The mass of one plant reaches 200-250 grams, which makes this variety convenient for home and commercial growing.
