The plants are uniform, compact, upright, and of medium density, with well-leafy shoots and shortened internodes. The root system is highly branched, ensuring easy adaptation to various substrates and soils, including saline soils. Additionally, Marcus basil has high cold hardiness, which expands its growing potential in different climatic conditions.

The leaf blade of this variety varies from medium to large, has an elongated-ovate shape, a smooth surface without wavy edges, and medium glossiness. The leaves are predominantly drooping with medium-length petioles. A distinguishing feature of the variety is the high saturation of leaves and stems with anthocyanin coloration, giving the plant a decorative appearance. Due to the high content of essential oils, the leaves and stems of Marcus basil possess a rich clove aroma, making them particularly valuable for culinary use.

The variety is characterized by high transportability and good preservation of consumer qualities, which is important for commercial growing and marketing. Marcus basil also has good resistance to leaf edge burn, which is particularly relevant when growing using running technology.
