ROZI

Basil 'Rozi' is a mid-early variety with purple-colored leaves and stems, originating from the Netherlands. The plant forms an erect, strongly branched bush 40 to 60 cm high with large, dense leaves of elliptical shape and serrated edges. The leaves have a uniform dark purple color without green speckles, which is retained even under insufficient lighting. Stems are also colored a rich purple, dense and juicy, giving the plant decorative appeal and resistance to various growing conditions.

This basil variety is distinguished by good heat and drought resistance with regular watering, as well as shade tolerance, allowing it to be grown in both open and closed ground. The vegetative period is about 38-40 days, making it mid-early. Thanks to rapid growth and rich aroma, 'Rozi' basil is widely used in cooking as a fresh spice, as well as for drying, pickling, and canning. The leaves contain a large amount of essential oils with peppery aroma and lemon or anise nuances, and the taste has a slight bitterness.
