Description
This variety of bean has excellent taste qualities and is widely used in home cooking, as well as suitable for canning and freezing. EXALTO prefers light and warm growing conditions, as well as fertile loamy and medium loam soils with a neutral reaction. To successfully grow it, it is recommended to avoid acidic soils or lime them. The bean is demanding in moisture, sowing is carried out in well-warmed soil at the end of May – beginning of June, when the threat of return frost has passed.
Sowing is done in rows with a distance between plants of 15-20 cm and row spacing of 50 cm. Bush beans do not need support and do not tolerate fresh manure. Fruits ripen about two weeks after the beginning of flowering and, under favorable conditions, bear fruit for 6-8 weeks. The harvest is recommended to be collected before full ripeness, which allows maintaining optimal taste and commercial qualities.
