PHILIPPONNA — a mid-season cabbage variety that matures 115-120 days from germination to technological maturity. This variety forms very large, dense white heads weighing between 700 and 850 grams with excellent taste qualities. The main advantages of the variety are resistance to autumn frosts, stable yield, and high marketability, making it an excellent choice for summer-autumn consumption, as well as for short-term storage and freezing.

Cabbage PHILIPPONNA requires careful care and specific growing conditions. It is very demanding in terms of nutrients and moisture, cannot tolerate acidic soils, so for planting it is recommended to choose neutral or weakly alkaline soils. Sowing for seedlings is carried out in mid-March, and after 7-10 days from the appearance of seedlings, they are transplanted. Seedlings are ready for planting in open ground 35-40 days after germination. Plants are planted at the end of April according to the scheme 35 x 50 cm. Regular watering, weeding, loosening, and fertilization are needed later to ensure full development.

Special attention is paid to protecting cabbage heads from sunlight: to preserve the white color and prevent head decomposition, two leaves are broken or tied over them, creating natural shading. This technique helps maintain the marketable appearance and quality of the crop. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, and short-term storage, making it versatile and convenient for various methods of use.
