AMBER SUGAR

Amber Sugar carrot represents a mid-season Nantes-type variety with cylindrical, blunt-tipped root crops of bright orange color. The flesh is characterized by juiciness, tenderness, and a sweet taste, making this variety particularly attractive for children's and therapeutic diets. High carotene content in the root crops contributes to health strengthening and improved vision, while the smooth surface and fruit weight of 110 to 170 grams ensure ease of use and an attractive appearance.

The variety is characterized by high yield—up to 6-8 kg per square meter, and the period from germination to technical maturity is 80-110 days. Amber Sugar grows well on light loamy soils and is suitable for cultivation in all regions. For sowing, use furrows 1-2 cm deep; seedlings can be covered with film until they appear to maintain optimal soil moisture. The second thinning is carried out when root crops reach a diameter of about 1 cm, leaving 5-6 cm between plants.

Timely watering, weeding, loosening, and feeding are necessary to obtain a quality harvest. Amber Sugar carrot is suitable for long-term storage, making it a universal choice for both home use and commercial cultivation. Winter sowing is also possible, which is carried out in late October – early November, sowing seeds to a depth of 1-3 cm and mulching the surface with peat to retain moisture.
