Krasna Devitsa

Krasna Devitsa carrot is a mid-early, high-yielding variety with a period from germination to technical maturity of about 85-115 days. The plant is characterized by resistance to bolting and diseases, ensuring a stable yield. Seeds are sown in open ground at the end of April – beginning of May at a depth of 1-2.5 cm, preferably in fertile or loamy soils. Successful cultivation requires regular weeding, deep loosening, timely watering, and fertilization.

The root crops have a cylindrical or conical shape with a blunt end, with a length of 14 to 20 cm and a diameter of 2.5-5 cm, weighing 90-140 g. The flesh is bright orange, dense, juicy, and very sweet, with high sugar and carotene content. The carrot has excellent taste and attractive appearance, making it universal for fresh consumption, salads, vegetable sides, as well as for canning and preparing multivitamin juices.

The variety is characterized by good storage ability and the ability to preserve its taste and nutritional qualities during long-term storage. Yield ranges from 2.3 to 4.3 kg per square meter, with commercial product recovery reaching 75-89%.
