Namibia F1 carrot is a mid-late season hybrid of the Nantaise type with a maturity period of about 115 days. The root crop is cylindrical, smooth, up to 20 cm long and weighs between 150 and 200 grams. The core and skin have a bright orange color, indicating a high carotene content — up to 17 mg per 100 g of raw product. Dry matter content is 10.7-11.7 %, while total sugar content ranges from 6.4 to 7.2 %, ensuring good taste qualities.

This hybrid is characterized by high marketable yield, reaching 337-485 centners per hectare, which exceeds standard varieties Nantaise 4 and Nairobi F1 by 39-62 centners. The output of marketable product is 85-94 %, making the variety profitable for commercial cultivation. Namibia carrot is suitable for cultivation on various soil types, including peatlands, and has a sturdy foliage, which facilitates mechanized harvesting.

The plant forms a semi-spreading medium-length leaf rosette with green coloration and leaflets ranging from finely to medium-cut. The hybrid has moderate resistance to diseases such as black leg and pitium. Due to its characteristics, the variety is recommended for both fresh consumption and winter storage, making it a universal choice for farmers and gardeners.
