Nectar

The 'Winter Nectar' carrot variety is a mid-late, high-yielding variety with a growing period of 101 to 125 days. The root crops have an elongated-conical or cylindrical shape, with a length ranging from 14 to 22 cm and a weight from 100 to 200 g. The root crops are bright orange, with juicy flesh and a medium or almost non-existent core, providing excellent taste qualities. The leaf rosette is upright, and the root crops feature a smooth and even surface with a blunt or slightly tapered tip.

The variety is characterized by high yield with a marketable product output of over 90%, resistance to cracking and bolting. Due to its high carotene and sugar content, 'Winter Nectar' carrots are suitable for both fresh consumption and culinary processing. They retain their consumer qualities and market appearance during long-term storage, allowing for use during the autumn-winter and spring periods.

Sowing seeds is recommended at the end of April – beginning of May at a depth of about 1 cm with a row spacing of 18-20 cm. After germination, thinning is conducted, leaving 5-6 cm between plants, which contributes to the formation of high-quality and uniform root crops. 'Winter Nectar' is an excellent choice for those who value a stable yield, high quality, and long-term vegetable storage.
