Description
The hybrid is characterized by high yields, reaching 3.4-5.6 kg/m², and up to 7 kg/m² under favorable conditions. It is resistant to major carrot diseases, bolting, and cracking, which helps maintain the quality of root crops during long-term storage. Dry matter content varies from 10.9 to 14.7%, and total sugar content from 6.2 to 8.6%, making the carrot versatile for various types of processing, including freezing.
Seeding is recommended in late April to early May when soil temperature is not below +5...+8 °C. Seeds are sown at a depth of about 1 cm with row spacing of 18-20 cm. To improve germination and even growth, beds are watered with warm water, mulched with peat, sawdust, or covered with film or lutrasil. Thinning is carried out in several stages, starting from a distance of 2-3 cm between seedlings and up to 5-6 cm between plants, which ensures optimal nutrition and development of root crops. Regular and even watering with warm settled water, taking into account weather conditions, and fertilization with nitrogen and phosphorus-potassium fertilizers are important during the vegetation period to increase yield and fruit quality. For storage, whole, fully mature root crops without damage are selected and stored at a temperature of 0-1 °C and humidity of about 98%, preferably with soil to prevent drying out.
