Princess

Princess carrot is a mid-season, high-yield variety with a maturity period of 100 to 120 days. The semi-spreading leaf rosette ensures good plant development. The roots have a cylindrical shape with a slightly pointed tip, characteristic of the Amsterdam type. Root length ranges from medium to long, about 18-20 cm, with a mass reaching up to 130 grams. The root surface is smooth, and the color is bright orange, indicating high carotene content. Princess carrot flesh is juicy, tender, and distinctly sweet, with an almost invisible core, making this variety one of the best for children's and dietary food. Due to its excellent taste qualities, the carrot is recommended for use both fresh and for canning and winter storage. Root shelf life is high, ensuring long-term quality preservation after harvest. Princess carrot seed sowing is recommended at the end of April – beginning of May at a depth of about 1 cm with a row spacing of 15 cm. Thinning is required after seedlings appear, leaving 5-7 cm between plants for optimal root development. Variety yield can reach up to 10 kg per square meter, making it attractive for cultivation in both personal and commercial enterprises.
