Carrot Zetor F1 — this is a Dutch mid-season hybrid of the Nantes type, intended for cultivation in various soil conditions, including clay, loamy, and heavy black soils. The vegetation period is approximately 110-120 days, allowing for harvest in mid-season. The fruits are cylindrical with a rounded tip, up to 20 cm long and weighing 200 to 400 grams. The skin and core are a vibrant orange, with the core being slightly underdeveloped. The flesh is juicy, sweet, and dense, making the carrot suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, including juices, canning, and freezing. The hybrid is characterized by high yield and resistance to major diseases such as pathogenic bacteria, flowering, and bolting. The foliage is of medium height, about 40 cm, dark green, and sturdy, facilitating mechanical harvest. The roots are dense, do not break during harvest, and retain their market quality well under cool storage conditions. Thanks to its smooth skin and uniform fruit shape, Carrot Zetor F1 is suitable for washing, packaging, and various forms of processing. For successful cultivation, standard agronomic practices are recommended: soil loosening, regular watering, and root feeding. Seeds should be sown on well-lit and moist areas at a density of 1.0-1.2 million plants per hectare. It is important to thin seedlings, as the hybrid does not tolerate overcrowding. Carrot Zetor F1 is suitable for cultivation on heavy soils and provides a stable yield with excellent flavor qualities both fresh and after processing.
