Engineering Power Architecture

Case IH Puma tractors represent a balance of high-torque output and efficiency, driven by FPT Industrial engines featuring HI-eSCR2 technology. By omitting Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), these engines run exclusively on clean intake air, which drastically reduces combustion temperatures and prevents soot accumulation in the engine block. This design choice significantly extends service intervals and improves the longevity of critical engine components.

Transmission: Precision Control

The core of the Puma's versatility lies in its powertrain options: either a robust Full Powershift transmission or the sophisticated CVXDrive stepless transmission. The CVXDrive system continuously adjusts engine rpm and gear ratios in real-time, providing seamless acceleration and precise speed control. This enables operators to maintain optimal engine efficiency regardless of whether they are performing high-draw tillage or high-speed road transport.

Hydraulics and Implement Management

The tractor is equipped with a Closed Center Load Sensing (CCLS) hydraulic system delivering up to 170 l/min. The Pressure Flow Compensation (PFC) feature is vital for modern implements; it ensures the system only draws power when demand is detected. With a rear hitch capacity of up to 10,463 kg and an integrated active ride control system, the Puma effectively dampens impact loads, protecting both the implement and the tractor chassis when navigating uneven terrain.

Ergonomics as a Productivity Tool

The Surround Vision cab is engineered for 360-degree visibility, placing the operator at the center of the machine's control suite. Through the MultiControl armrest, users can manage speed, hydraulic functions, and Headland Management Control (HMC II) with minimal movement. This consolidation of controls reduces operator fatigue, allowing for greater focus on precision farming tasks during extended shifts.
