Description
Dobryak is a bisection diploid species of meadow clover that is characterized by medium-early flowering and resistance to root rot and rust. The plants have stems of medium height and thickness, with a large number of internodes, and lack hairs or have very weak hairiness. The leaves are of medium size, narrow or of medium width, with rare white markings. The inflorescences are pink, and the seeds are multicolored, which is a characteristic feature of this variety. The Dobryak variety was bred at the Ural Federal Agro-Research Center and included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of Russia in 2016. It is recommended for cultivation in various regions of the country, including the Northern, Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central Black Earth, Ural, and Western Siberian regions. The vegetative period from the beginning of regrowth to the first cut is 52-58 days, and to complete seed maturity is 112-124 days, which allows for effective planning of agro-technical measures. The yield of the Dobryak variety is characterized by high indicators: the average yield of dry matter in various regions reaches from 48.7 to 73.3 centners per hectare, and in favorable years can exceed 116.4-157.5 centners per hectare. The protein content in the dry matter of green mass is on average 16.1%, reaching a maximum of 19.2%, which makes this variety a valuable fodder plant for livestock. High productivity and resistance to diseases ensure a stable supply of quality raw materials for feeding animals.
