PRELEST

PRELEST is a late-maturing coriander variety of an annual herbaceous plant from the Apiaceae family. The period from germination to the beginning of commercial readiness is about 50 days. The plant reaches a height of 50-60 cm, features good leafiness and tender, juicy greens that give dishes a bright and unique flavor. Coriander leaves and seeds possess an exquisite aroma and are widely used for preparing salads, soups, sauces, and spices. Coriander is rich in vitamins, potassium, and mineral salts, which aids in the digestion of food. CORIANDER PRELEST is also an excellent nectar-producing plant. Pale pink flowers form a complex umbel on a long peduncle and bloom in June-July for 35-40 days. In warm weather, the plant produces abundant nectar, attracting a large number of bees and ensuring high honey productivity — from 200 to 300 kg per hectare, and on fertile and moderately moist soils, the honey yield can reach 500 kg per hectare. Honey obtained from coriander has healing properties and is rich in trace elements necessary for blood formation. For growing the PRELEST variety, light fertile soils are recommended, as the plant develops poorly on swampy, acidic, and clay soils. Seeds are sown in autumn or early spring; the sowing depth is 2-3 cm, and the distance between rows is 30-40 cm. Coriander tolerates spring frosts well and requires sufficient moisture during flowering and ripening. The vegetative period lasts 90-120 days, with a 1000-seed mass ranging from 5.5 to 8 grams. Seeds maintain viability for up to 4 years, ensuring convenient storage and sowing.
