ALITE 2

ALITE 2 — an early-maturing corn variety intended for grain production. The vegetative period of the variety is approximately 100 days, allowing for harvest within relatively short timeframes. The plant is tall, with a medium-length ear and a slender, weakly conical shape. The kernels are orange-colored both in the upper and lower parts, and there is no anthocyanin pigmentation on the ear stalk. The grain moisture content at harvest averages around 24.3%, which facilitates storage and processing of the crop.

The ALITE 2 variety demonstrated high yields in the Far Eastern region, with average yields reaching 54.3 centners per hectare and maximum yields of 84.0 centners per hectare. In the conditions of the Khabarovsk Krai, under optimal mineral nutrition, grain yields could reach up to 125.3 centners per hectare. Studies showed that the variety responds well to mineral fertilizer doses, although higher doses may delay plant development by several days. The variety is characterized by stability and adaptability to local soil-climatic conditions, making it promising for adoption in Far Eastern production.

ALITE 2 was also studied in the context of silage quality, where it showed good performance in terms of green mass yield and nutrient content. Although some foreign hybrids demonstrated higher performance in individual parameters, ALITE 2 remains a competitive local variety with favorable morphobiological traits and potential for use in various agrotechnical systems.
