KWS Kashmir — a high-yielding, plastic hybrid of grain corn with FAO 380, suitable for cultivation using both intensive and extensive technologies. The hybrid features large, dent corn kernels with a high 1000-kernel weight of 340–350 grams, ensuring high yield potential up to 19 tons per hectare. Seeds are treated with the two-component insecticide protectant Forza Zea and the protectant Maxim XL, enhancing protection against pests and promoting successful plant growth.
KWS Kashmir plants reach a height of 280–290 cm, with ear attachment height of 100–110 cm. Each ear contains 16–18 rows of kernels, with 37–39 kernels per row, contributing to the formation of a large, dense crop. The hybrid is resistant to lodging, facilitating harvest and reducing yield loss.
KWS Kashmir is recommended for cultivation in various moisture zones, taking into account optimal plant density: 70–75 thousand plants per hectare in well-watered zones, 55–65 thousand in medium-moisture zones, and 45–50 thousand in low-moisture conditions. The rapid moisture release from kernels allows for timely harvest, improving crop quality and preservation.
