AMAVIT

AMAVIT — this is an early-maturing simple hybrid maize, developed by KWS SAAT SE & CO.KGAA and registered in 2020. It is characterized by high yield and adapted to cultivation under various climatic conditions, including dry regions of Russia and Poland. The hybrid belongs to FAO 190 and has a vegetation period of about 133 days, which is several days shorter than standard periods, allowing for a stable harvest even under challenging conditions. Plants are tall, reaching a height of 280-320 cm, with ears attached at a level of 110-120 cm, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses.

The stem and leaves of AMAVIT have medium width and a straight shape with slight curvature, and anthocyanin pigmentation in roots and ear parts is weakly expressed, indicating good disease resistance. The ear is medium or long, with 14-16 rows of kernels and 35-40 kernels per row. The kernel type is intermediate, with yellow upper part and yellow-orange lower part, and a crystalline structure, ensuring rapid moisture release and high raw material quality. The average moisture content of the grain at harvest is about 37%, meeting standard requirements.

The AMAVIT hybrid is suitable for both grain production and silage, demonstrating high yield potential — up to 120 ц/га of grain and 600 ц/га of green mass. The recommended planting density varies depending on growing conditions: 75-80 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture and 55-60 thousand under dry conditions.
