COMPETENCE is an early-maturing, simple hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.) with high yield potential and adaptability to various climatic conditions. It is distinguished by good tolerance to early spring cold, heat, and drought, making it suitable for cultivation in different regions. The hybrid is resistant to stalk and ear rot, ensuring stable yields and high grain quality. Average grain yield in the Central Chernozem region reaches 83.0 c/ha, and in the Volga region — 66.2 c/ha, with potential yields reaching 130 c/ha under optimal conditions.

COMPETENCE features a plastic, silken grain with medium moisture content, facilitating harvesting and storage. Plants reach a height of 250-280 cm, with ear attachment height of 100-120 cm. Ears have 14 rows of kernels, with 32 to 40 kernels per row. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions: 80-90 thousand plants per hectare under sufficient moisture and 60-75 thousand plants per hectare in dry conditions.
