DARINA MV

Corn hybrid Darina MV is a three-line early-maturing hybrid primarily intended for grain production. This hybrid features large ears with 18–20 rows of kernels and 44–46 kernels per row, ensuring a high grain yield — up to 77.3%. The grain is semi-pear-shaped, with a 1000-kernel weight of approximately 285 g, containing 8.9% protein and 72.8% starch, making it valuable for food industry and feed production. The average moisture content of the grain at harvest is about 26–31%, facilitating storage and processing.

The plant is tall, with moderately wide, curved leaves and weak anthocyanic coloring of various parts, indicating its adaptive traits. The hybrid is drought-tolerant and lodging-resistant, and also exhibits high resistance to gray leaf spot, moderate susceptibility to stalk rot, and low susceptibility to Fusarium and stalk borer. The vegetation period ranges from 100 to 116 days depending on the growing region, allowing the hybrid to be used in various climatic zones of Russia, including the Central, Central Chernozem, Volga, Lower Volga, and West Siberian regions.

Darina MV demonstrates high productivity: average yields vary from 48 to 107 ц/га, with maximum yields reaching 163 ц/га under optimal conditions. It is recommended to plant at a rate of 50–60 thousand seeds per hectare, especially on plowed soils, to ensure optimal plant development and maximum output. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, this hybrid is widely used for grain and silage production, making it a versatile choice for agricultural producers.
