DKS 3609

DKS 3609 is a high-yielding hybrid maize of medium-early maturity group with FAO index 260, intended for cultivation in areas with sufficient and unstable moisture. The crop is characterized by high adaptability and is suitable for various soil types, except sandy soils, as well as for different tillage technologies, including conventional, minimal, and No-Tillage. The recommended soil temperature at sowing is 8-9 °C, ensuring optimal conditions for germination and plant development.

The hybrid features a strong stem up to 230-240 cm tall and a robust root system, providing resistance to lodging and allowing for later harvest. Ear attachment height is 100-110 cm, with ears containing 14-16 rows and 34-37 kernels per row, totaling 570-650 kernels. The kernels are dent-flint type with high starch content, contributing to high yields. The recommended planting density varies depending on moisture: 70,000-75,000 plants per hectare under sufficient moisture and 65,000-70,000 under unstable conditions.

DKS 3609 exhibits high resistance to stalk and ear diseases, including fusarium, with resistance rating 9.0. The hybrid positively responds to elevated mineral nutrition levels, allowing yields up to 122 c/ha under basic moisture and up to 134 c/ha in production fields.
