Description
The DKS 5007 hybrid adapts well to various soil-climatic conditions, including the Polissia and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine, and performs successfully in southern and central regions of the country. It demonstrates high tolerance to common corn diseases such as helminthosporiosis, head smut, and fusarium, with resistance ratings from 8 to 9. Thanks to its robust root system and ability to rapidly release moisture during maturation, the hybrid consistently yields high crops even under limited water supply, making it suitable for cultivation in dry regions and irrigated lands.
DKS 5007 is versatile in application and suitable for both grain and silage production. It is recommended for cultivation using intensive technologies, including minimal, zero, and traditional tillage, as well as monoculture. The optimal planting density depends on moisture levels and varies from 55,000 to 70,000 plants per hectare. Early planting and timely harvesting at optimal stages ensure maximum growth energy and high crop quality.
