Description
DM Petros plants have an average height of about 240 cm and a strong stalk with a well-developed root system, ensuring resistance to adverse weather conditions such as drought and high solar radiation. Ear attachment height is 95 cm, with conical-cylindrical ears featuring 14–16 rows of yellow dent kernels. The hybrid demonstrates moderate early growth rate, high water shedding during ripening, and moderate Stay Green effect with the ability to remain green for up to 30 days after maturity. It is resistant to most corn diseases and is less susceptible to pests, making it a reliable choice for intensive agrotechnologies.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to follow optimal plant density depending on the region: 45–55 thousand plants per hectare in southern steppe zones, up to 70–80 thousand in Polissia. The minimum sowing temperature is 10–12ºC. Seeds are supplied in batches of 80,000 units with official documentation from MAIS’s authorized distributor, guaranteeing authenticity and quality.
