Description
DS0493B features rapid early development and is suitable for early planting, expanding agronomic options. The hybrid tolerates dense planting and demonstrates good water shedding, promoting timely grain maturity and reducing harvest losses. Its remontancy and high drought resistance make it a reliable choice for various cultivation zones, including Polesie, Forest Steppe, and Northern Steppe of Ukraine.
Recommended planting density depends on growing conditions: under favorable conditions, optimal density is 70-90 thousand plants per hectare; under adverse conditions — 50-70 thousand. The hybrid can yield up to 16 tons per hectare, confirming its high productivity. The number of rows per ear varies from 14 to 16, and the number of kernels per row — from 26 to 38, with 1000 kernel weight of 270-320 grams. DS0493B is not recommended for monoculture cultivation, which helps prevent disease accumulation and maintain crop health.
