"Dz Latorytsia" is a product of rigorous breeding efforts by the Institute of Agriculture of the Steppe Zone of NAAS (Ukraine), led by experts B.V. Dziubetskyi and O.P. Olyzko. This maize hybrid was designed as a reliable tool for farmers who prioritize resilience over volatile high-input requirements. Unlike imported hybrids that often demand intensive and expensive technological packages, Latorytsia offers superior plasticity in varying local conditions.

Yield Management and Planting Density

The core strength of this hybrid is its operational flexibility. Farmers can adjust seeding density based on water availability, which is crucial for maximizing yield in diverse agricultural zones:

• High-moisture/Irrigated zones: Recommended density is 80-90 thousand plants per hectare, allowing the crop to express its full genetic yield potential.
• Arid/Low-moisture zones: Reducing the density to 55-60 thousand plants per hectare minimizes competition for moisture, ensuring stable grain development even in dry years.
