Description
Gran 220 has a high yield potential, reaching up to 135 ц/ha, making it one of the best hybrids on the Ukrainian market. The ear forms between 406 and 464 kernels, arranged in 14-16 rows, with 29-35 kernels per row. The hybrid adapts well to various climatic conditions in Ukraine, demonstrating resistance to frost in early vegetation, drought during ear formation and maturation, as well as lodging in windy weather.
Special attention is given to the disease and stress resistance of Corn Gran 220. The hybrid shows high resistance to helminthosporiosis, fusarium, blister rust, and lodging, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. Recommended planting density varies by region: 80-90 thousand plants per hectare in the Polissia, 65-80 thousand in the Forest-Steppe, and 60-70 thousand in the Steppe. Cultivation of this hybrid is effective using zero-tillage technology and timely insect and weed control treatments during the growing season.
