Corn Kharkivskiy 199 MV is a complex first-generation hybrid primarily intended for feed purposes. This variety is characterized by high productivity, resistance to lodging and cold, making it popular among farmers in Russia and Ukraine. Plants reach a height of 230-250 cm, with conical ears having a reddish core and yellow, cream-colored, toothed kernels. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 260 to 290 grams, and the optimal planting density is approximately 60,000 plants per hectare.
The hybrid belongs to the early-maturing varieties with a vegetative period of about 96-97 days and has a universal usage direction. It demonstrates high resistance to major diseases and pests, as well as abiotic stresses including drought and low temperatures. Due to these qualities, Corn Kharkivskiy 199 MV adapts well to various climatic conditions, including steppe and forest-steppe zones.
The hybrid’s yield depends on growing conditions and can reach 65-75 centners of grain and 500-650 centners of silage per hectare. Seeds are treated with a fungicidal protectant to prevent diseases, contributing to healthy and high-quality produce.
