Kompetas — a high-yielding corn hybrid with a range of valuable agronomic traits. It belongs to the early-maturing hybrids with dent kernel type and exhibits high adaptability to various climatic conditions, including cold spring periods, heat, and drought. Plants reach a height of 290-300 cm, with ear attachment height of 100-120 cm, ensuring resistance to lodging. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 290 to 340 g, and the number of rows is 14-16, with 32-40 kernels per row, contributing to high yield.

The Kompetas hybrid is recommended for cultivation as grain or silage, with the possibility of using intensive technologies and irrigation. It demonstrates high yield — up to 18 t/ha (180 c/ha) under optimal conditions, while grain moisture loss occurs very quickly, facilitating harvest and reducing losses. Thanks to its high drought resistance and cold tolerance, the hybrid consistently shows good performance in various regions, including Central Chernozem, Volga, Central, and Ural.

Kompetas has good disease resistance, particularly being less susceptible to fusarium and stalk rot. The grain has an intermediate type, closer to flint, with an orange color, making it suitable for starch industry. The recommended planting density is 80-90 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture and 60-75 thousand under dry conditions. Using chelated microfertilizers can increase yield by 12-20%, making the hybrid attractive for farmers aiming for maximum production efficiency.
