A stable early-maturing hybrid with flint grain, ensuring high test weight and excellent dry-down performance.
Description
Technological Potential of the Manifique Hybrid
The breeding program of NVP Agro-Rytm focuses on creating stable solutions for the steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. The Manifique corn hybrid is a single cross with an FAO rating of 240. Combined with a 100–110 day vegetation period, it allows farmers to hit optimal harvesting windows effectively while minimizing grain drying costs.
Morphology and Grain Composition
A key feature of this hybrid is its flint-type grain. For a producer, this means high endosperm density and increased resistance to physical damage, which is critical for storage stability. The flint structure also ensures high grain test weight, a factor highly valued in milling and grits processing.
- Growth Energy: An intensive start allows the plant to close canopy quickly, reducing weed competition and preserving soil moisture.
- Stability: Being a single cross hybrid, it ensures high uniformity across the field. This provides a distinct technological advantage during mechanized harvesting: the consistent ear development allows for optimized combine settings, resulting in efficient threshing with minimal losses.
- Yield Potential: The grain-use orientation sets high standards for filling potential. Manifique shows excellent moisture release dynamics, enabling timely harvest without compromising the quality of the commercial yield.
The Agro-Rytm engineering approach to this hybrid's genetics ensures balanced vegetative and generative development, providing predictable results even under moderate stress during the ear formation stage.

Corn hybrids are classified by maturity groups and by the FAO number. All corn hybrids are distributed according to the FAO scale. Under Central European conditions, a difference of 10 FAO units between hybrids results in a 1-2 day difference in their maturity. The higher the FAO... |

Dent corn (Zea mays indentata) — Large, elongated, flat kernels. The endosperm is horny on the sides of the kernel, mealy in the center and at the top. A depression forms at the top of the kernel upon ripening. Dent corn is the most widely cultivated group among others. Plants ty... |

Dual-purpose hybrids: for silage and grain in all growing regions. These are "stay-green" type hybrids, meaning the plants remain green for a longer period. However, this does not affect the sugar, cellulose, and hemicellulose content, nor the degree of lignification of the plant... |
