Description
The hybrid features rapid early growth and high drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in different climatic zones, including the Polissia region. MAS 23B demonstrates excellent moisture release, enabling harvest at optimal grain moisture levels. Recommended planting density varies from 60,000 to 80,000 plants per hectare depending on moisture conditions. High starch content in the grain, exceeding 60%, makes this hybrid especially valuable for starch processing.
Morphological features include 16-18 rows of kernels per ear and 30-34 kernels per row, with a 1000-kernel weight of 290-310 grams. The sum of active temperatures until flowering is 875°C, and until full maturity — 1730°C. MAS 23B has a flexible ear with high flexibility, promoting adaptation to various growing conditions. Despite being registered in 2011 and discontinued from production, it remains an example of high-quality seed material with a genetic yield potential of up to 16 tons per hectare.
