Maxima sweet corn is a high-plasticity hybrid with dual-purpose use, suitable for both grain and silage. It is distinguished by high resistance to adverse conditions, including drought, low temperatures, and lodging, confirmed by maximum ratings for these parameters. The vegetative period is 141-150 days, and the kernel color is yellow with a toothed structure and orange-yellow hue. Ear length varies from 22 to 26 cm, with row numbers of kernels from 16 to 18, and 1000-kernel weight reaches 320-350 g. Plant height is 250-350 cm, with ear attachment at 130-140 cm. The Maxima hybrid is characterized by high plasticity and stable yield even under low nutrient supply. In dry years, lower leaves remain green, contributing to maintaining and increasing silage mass yield. The hybrid’s productivity potential reaches 170 ц/ha, with grain yield on trial plots at 13.5-15.2 т/ha and silage at 45-62 т/ha. Seeds are treated, providing additional protection and improved germination. Maxima is recommended for planting in regions requiring concentrated silage feed for ruminants, particularly in the North Caucasus region. Optimal planting dates begin in the third decade of April. The hybrid responds well to high fertility and irrigation, enabling full potential realization. High plant uniformity and excellent stress tolerance make Maxima a reliable choice for farmers seeking stable and high yields of both grain and silage.
