METTLEY

The METTLEY corn hybrid is a medium-early trihybrid variety intended for high-quality silage production. The plant features a tall growth habit with a height of approximately 270 cm and a 'stay green' type, ensuring prolonged retention of green mass. The vegetation period is 98 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to various agroclimatic conditions and provide a stable yield in areas with both sufficient and insufficient moisture.

The ears of the METTLEY hybrid have medium or long size and medium diameter, with grain rows ranging from 14 to 16 and kernels per row from 28 to 30. The kernels are intermediate, closer to starchy, with a characteristic yellow-orange coloration on the upper part and orange on the lower. The average 1000-kernel weight is about 320 grams. The ear stalk is uncolored, and anthocyanin root coloration on the stem is weak.

The METTLEY hybrid has high potential for silage mass yield, averaging 199.5 centners per hectare of normalized dry matter, with maximum yields reaching 391 centners. It is resistant to lodging, major diseases, and pests, making it a reliable choice for farmers. Recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture and ranges from 80,000 to 95,000 plants per hectare. The primary purpose of the hybrid is high-energy silage production, making it in demand across various growing regions.
