MIXXY

The corn hybrid MIXXY is a high-yielding, simple, two-line hybrid included in the State Register since 2014 and recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, and Middle Volga regions. This medium-early hybrid with a vegetation period of about 122 days is characterized by high grain yield, averaging 94.3 centners per hectare, which exceeds standard benchmarks by 11-12%. The plant has medium height, curved leaves, and weak anthocyanic coloring of roots and ears, exhibiting good immunity and resistance to stressful conditions, making it a reliable choice for farmers.

The ears of corn MIXXY have medium or large length, containing 14 to 18 rows of kernels with kernel numbers per row ranging from 28 to 30. The grain is intermediate in type, closer to flint, with yellow-orange coloring on the upper part of the ear. The 1000-kernel weight varies from 320 to 340 grams. The hybrid is characterized by rapid grain moisture loss at maturity, facilitating harvest and reducing grain moisture to standard levels (approximately 28-32%). The recommended planting density is 75-80 thousand plants per hectare under optimal conditions and 60-65 thousand under drought conditions.
