Description
NS 2012 exhibits high resistance to major corn diseases such as leaf blight, helminthosporiosis, and fusarium, as well as to stress conditions including lodging and kernel shattering. Plants reach a height of about 2 meters, have a strong and elastic stem, and a well-developed root system. The conical ears contain 14 rows of yellow, dent-shaped kernels, with a 1000-kernel weight of approximately 390 grams.
The potential yield of this hybrid exceeds 140 ц/ha of dry grain and over 450 ц/ha of silage, with optimal plant density varying by region: 60 thousand/ha in the steppe, 75-80 thousand/ha in the forest-steppe, and 80 thousand/ha in Polissia. To achieve maximum performance, early planting, balanced mineral nutrition, and optimal irrigation are recommended, while avoiding excessive nitrogen fertilization and overly dense planting to prevent lodging.

Dual-purpose hybrids: for silage and grain in all growing regions. These are "stay-green" type hybrids, meaning the plants remain green for a longer period. However, this does not affect the sugar, cellulose, and hemicellulose content, nor the degree of lignification of the plant... |
