Corn NS-2622 is a modern hybrid developed by the Institute of Vegetable and Field Crop Research in Novi Sad. This hybrid is undergoing state variety trials and has already proven itself as a high-yielding variety with a potential yield of up to 120 centners per hectare. NS-2622 features dent-shaped kernels with yellow coloration and conical ears approximately 25 cm long.

NS-2622 corn plants are tall, reaching up to 270 cm in height, and are capable of forming two ears. The hybrid exhibits high drought and heat tolerance, making it particularly suitable for cultivation in Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones. The vegetative period is characterized by resistance to lodging, which helps preserve yield and facilitates harvest.

In addition, NS-2622 demonstrates high resistance to various stresses and diseases, including drought (rating 9), lodging (8), fusarium (8), and gray leaf spot (8). Recommended plant density per hectare varies by region: 50-55 thousand plants in Forest-Steppe, 40-45 thousand in Southern Dry Steppe, and 45-50 thousand in Central Steppe.
