NS 3022

Hybrid maize NS 3022, developed in Serbia by the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, is intended for grain and silage production. This simple hybrid, based on a fertile maternal line, has been registered in the State Register of Varieties of Ukraine since 2016 and has a vegetation period with a FAO rating of 360. Plants reach a height of 250 to 300 cm, and the cylindrical ear, approximately 25 cm long, contains 14–16 rows of yellow-orange dent-type kernels. The 1000-kernel weight is approximately 380 g, indicating a high genetic yield potential reaching up to 150 centners per hectare.

Hybrid NS 3022 is characterized by high drought and lodging resistance, making it especially valuable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Polissya, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. The recommended planting density varies by region: 60–65 thousand plants per hectare in the Forest-Steppe, 50–55 thousand in the Central Steppe, and 40–50 thousand in the Southern Steppe. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates high resistance to common maize diseases, contributing to stable and high yields.

One of the key advantages of NS 3022 is its rapid moisture release, which simplifies harvesting and reduces yield losses. Due to its characteristics, the hybrid is suitable for intensive farming and ensures high productivity both for grain and silage. This makes NS 3022 a versatile and reliable choice for farmers aiming to maximize maize yields under various agroclimatic conditions.
