Description
One of the key features of P9978 AQ is its resistance to stalk lodging, which reduces yield losses under adverse weather conditions. The hybrid also demonstrates high tolerance to Helminthosporium and good resistance to ear rot, with a disease resistance rating of 6 out of 9 for stalk diseases. These characteristics make it a reliable choice for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Northern Steppe regions.
To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to follow optimal planting dates, avoid overcrowding, and avoid late harvest. The recommended plant density under adequate moisture is 60-65 thousand per hectare, and under insufficient moisture — 55-60 thousand. Pre-emergence herbicides should be applied strictly according to crop development stages. The hybrid is well-suited for monoculture cultivation, but is not recommended for minimum tillage and late harvesting.
