RAGT VOLGANICS — a mid-early, two-line hybrid maize (Zea mays L.) intended for grain and silage production. The hybrid is characterized by high plant height and average tasseling time. Leaves are broad with strong curvature, and the ear shape is weakly conical with medium size and medium-length stalks. The grain is intermediate type with yellow coloration of both upper and lower parts. The vegetative period ranges from 109-113 days depending on the region, with grain moisture at harvest varying from 21.2% to 26.3%. RAGT VOLGANICS is registered in the State Register for the Central Chernozem and Volga regions, confirming its adaptability to various climatic conditions in these areas.

The hybrid exhibits high yield potential: average grain yield reaches 74.5-75.3 c/ha in the Central Chernozem region and 73.5-74.7 c/ha in the Volga region, with maximum yields exceeding 110 c/ha. RAGT VOLGANICS demonstrates high resistance to diseases, particularly stalk rot and Fusarium ear rot, as well as low susceptibility to corn borer. These traits ensure stable yields and reduce losses under adverse conditions.

The hybrid is suitable for cultivation under both intensive and extensive farming systems, making it versatile for various agronomic practices. The STAY GREEN type helps retain green plant mass during ripening, improving both quality and quantity of the harvest. RAGT VOLGANICS is recommended for sowing at soil temperatures of 10-14 °C, ensuring good germination and plant development.
