ROSS 186 MV is an early-maturing double-cross hybrid corn (Zea mays L.) with a vegetation period of about 95 days and FAO 200. The plant is tall with medium-width leaves and a characteristic anthocyanin coloration, which appears weakly or moderately on various parts of the plant, including the first leaf sheath and stem. The tassel has a medium density of florets, a long main axis, and numerous long lateral branches. The ear is cylindrical, long, and thick, with 16–18 rows of kernels, approximately 41 kernels per row. The kernel is dent-shaped, the upper part is orange-colored, and the lower part is yellow-orange. The 1000-kernel weight is approximately 337–338 grams, and the milling yield reaches 70.3%. The hybrid is distinguished by high productivity and technological efficiency. Potential yields in the Central Black Earth Region reach 133.9 c/ha, in the North Caucasus Region — about 48.6 c/ha, and in the Middle Volga Region — 65.5 c/ha. ROSS 186 MV is resistant to stalk rot and slightly affected by ear fusarium and common smut, ensuring stable yields and reducing losses during storage and processing. Seeds are produced on a sterile basis without tassel breakage on the mother form, guaranteeing high-quality planting material. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the Central, North Caucasus, and Lower Volga regions.
