Description
The SM Wawel hybrid demonstrates high yield performance: according to two-year trials (2019–2020), grain yield reached 105% of the standard, equating to 126.6 centners per hectare, while dry matter yield (CCM) also reached 105% of the standard, corresponding to 20 tons of CCM per hectare. The high grain proportion in ears — 75.1% — ensures maximum productivity. The hybrid exhibits excellent resistance to stem and root lodging, as well as high resistance to Fusarium and foliar diseases, contributing to yield stability.
SM Wawel is recommended for grain, high-energy silage, and bioethanol production. The fixed ear type and semi-toothed grain type provide good initial energy and product quality. The hybrid performs well in monoculture and minimal tillage systems. Seeds are issued with current quality certificates and are intended for sowing in the 2024 season.
