The ZUM 0243 corn hybrid is a simple type with a medium maturity period and FAO 310. It features high yield stability and grain quality, confirmed by successful cultivation across all climatic zones of the country. The hybrid is adapted to various cultivation technologies, including conventional, intensive, and monoculture farming. Soil preparation allows the use of modern Mini or No-till methods. Plants tolerate cold snaps and droughts during active vegetation, and their high initial growth energy promotes rapid green mass accumulation.

Medium-height plant with a strong ear positioned on a relatively short stalk. The ear has toothed kernels tightly wrapped in green husks that weaken upon maturation, improving moisture release. This morphology facilitates efficient threshing and drying of the grain. The hybrid demonstrates good performance in 1000-grain weight, ranging from 280–300 grams, and potential yield of 11.0–12.0 tons per hectare.

ZUM 0243 is suitable for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones, including Polesie, Forest Steppe, and Steppe. For sowing, optimal timing should be chosen and waterlogged soils should be avoided to prevent root rot. Seeds are supplied in 25 kg three-layer kraft bags and undergo treatment using modern protective and growth-stimulating agents.
