Description
The SY Chorintos hybrid features strong early growth and the Stay Green plant type, promoting longer vegetative periods and improved silage quality. It exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including common rust, root and stalk rot, helminthosporiosis, and ear fusarium. Moreover, the hybrid demonstrates excellent drought and cold tolerance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under stress conditions. The seed material is suitable for replanting on the same field, including monoculture, which enhances economic efficiency.
Recommended cultivation practices include early planting at soil temperatures of +6...+8 °C at seed depth. Recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: under adequate moisture — 80–85 thousand plants per hectare for grain and 88–93 thousand for silage; under insufficient moisture — 55–60 thousand and 60–66 thousand plants, respectively. Seed treatments with Force Zea and Viberans are recommended to prevent damage from soil pests and stimulate root development, providing additional protection against secondary infections and stress.
