Description
SY COSMOS demonstrates rapid growth in the early vegetative stage, which contributes to successful plant development and increased productivity. A distinctive feature of the hybrid is the rapid moisture loss from the kernels during the ripening stage, which facilitates harvest and reduces the risk of yield loss. The average grain yield at harvest ranges from 79.2% to 81.9%, with protein content in the grain varying from 8.8% to 9.2%, and starch content from 72.8% to 73.5%.
The hybrid shows high resistance to adverse factors, including drought, cold tolerance, and resistance to root and stalk rot, helminthosporium, common rust, and lodging. Planting is recommended at early dates when soil temperature is +6...8°С and seed depth is appropriate. SY COSMOS is suitable for monoculture cultivation and allows for repeated use on the same field. The recommended planting density depends on moisture levels and ranges from 40,000 to 70,000 plants per hectare.

Corn hybrids are classified by maturity groups and by the FAO number. All corn hybrids are distributed according to the FAO scale. Under Central European conditions, a difference of 10 FAO units between hybrids results in a 1-2 day difference in their maturity. The higher the FAO... |

Dual-purpose hybrids: for silage and grain in all growing regions. These are "stay-green" type hybrids, meaning the plants remain green for a longer period. However, this does not affect the sugar, cellulose, and hemicellulose content, nor the degree of lignification of the plant... |
