Description
SY FORTAGO features a strong root system, providing high drought and lodging resistance, as well as good cold tolerance, enabling early planting and successful cultivation under low temperatures. The hybrid is resistant to root and stalk rots, as well as to gray leaf spot, increasing its reliability under various agroclimatic conditions. Rapid grain moisture release facilitates drying and harvest preparation, reducing time and resource costs.
The corn grain of SY FORTAGO has high starch content (72-75%) and protein (9.2-10%), making it valuable for both grain production and silage use. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions and cultivation purpose: for grain — 80-85 thousand plants/ha under adequate moisture and 55-60 thousand under limited moisture; for silage — 88-93 thousand and 60-66 thousand respectively. The hybrid is well-adapted to modern cultivation technologies, including No-till and Mini-till, allowing efficient use in various agrotechnical systems.

Dual-purpose hybrids: for silage and grain in all growing regions. These are "stay-green" type hybrids, meaning the plants remain green for a longer period. However, this does not affect the sugar, cellulose, and hemicellulose content, nor the degree of lignification of the plant... |
