SY OCTEON is recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones, due to its high adaptability and resistance to various climatic conditions. One of the key features of SY OCTEON is its high early growth, which allows effective use of available moisture during initial development stages, ensuring uniform and even emergence. The hybrid efficiently utilizes natural soil fertility and is suitable for cultivation using extensive and conservation technologies. Due to its high drought resistance, SY OCTEON outperforms competitors in realizing yield potential under water deficit conditions. The recommended planting density varies depending on moisture availability: 60-70 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, 50-60 thousand under unstable conditions, and 40-50 thousand under insufficient moisture. SY OCTEON also demonstrates high disease tolerance, confirmed by a 9-point rating on a 9-point scale for resistance to root and stalk rot, as well as to common smut.
