Description
The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to pathogens causing stalk and root rot, as well as to the airborne smut (sphacelotheca). Plants remain upright throughout the entire vegetative period and retain their quality even after prolonged field storage following maturity. Thanks to its very strong stalk, SY TOPAZ withstands prolonged delays, allowing harvest to be conducted at optimal or even later dates without compromising grain quality.
Cultivation recommendations include observing optimal sowing dates and seeding rates, which depend on soil moisture levels. For areas with unstable moisture, a planting density of 55–60 thousand plants per hectare is recommended, while for areas with adequate moisture, 60–70 thousand plants per hectare is advised. The hybrid is well-suited for intensive farming and irrigation, has good return on investment, and is suitable for monoculture.

Dual-purpose hybrids: for silage and grain in all growing regions. These are "stay-green" type hybrids, meaning the plants remain green for a longer period. However, this does not affect the sugar, cellulose, and hemicellulose content, nor the degree of lignification of the plant... |
