A high-performance hybrid with strong disease resistance and reliable harvest quality.
Description
Proven performance in the field
Based on our experience, the VN 63 hybrid from VNIS is a reliable choice for farmers prioritizing stability and adaptability. This simple hybrid shows excellent resilience across diverse soil and climatic conditions in Ukraine, performing well even when the weather is unpredictable.
Disease resistance and grain quality
From an agronomic perspective, the standout feature of VN 63 is its health profile. It exhibits strong resistance to Helminthosporium, Fusarium, and onion stalk smut. Furthermore, its resistance to corn smut significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications. The flint-dent grain structure ensures efficient moisture release, simplifying the post-harvest drying process.
Sowing and management
To maximize yields for either grain or silage, we adhere to precise density recommendations based on local conditions:
- Areas with sufficient moisture: 80,000–85,000 plants/ha;
- Forest-Steppe zone: 65,000–70,000 plants/ha;
- Arid regions: 60,000–65,000 plants/ha.
With an FAO rating of 90–1240 and a maturation period of 140–160 days, this hybrid is built for efficiency. It requires a solid agronomic baseline, but when managed correctly, it consistently delivers high-quality, high-volume harvests.
