Krechet

Krechet is an early-maturing indeterminate hybrid cucumber, intended for cultivation in open ground. Plants are vigorous, climbing, predominantly female-flowering, ensuring high fruit set. From germination to the first harvest of zucchini takes about 40-45 days, and fruiting continues until the end of October, allowing for a prolonged harvest. Leaves are medium-sized and green, with predominantly female flowers, 1-2 per node.

The fruits of the Krechet cucumber have a short oval shape, 10-12 cm long, weighing 75-115 grams. Zucchini are even, ribbed, with white hairs and green color with short stripes. Flesh is dense, white, aromatic, without cavities, with excellent taste, making this hybrid versatile for fresh consumption and especially valuable for pickling and preservation. The hybrid exhibits high salt tolerance and exceptional flavor in pickled products.

Krechet is resistant to false powdery mildew (peronosporosis), true powdery mildew, and cucumber mosaic virus (CMV-1), significantly reducing disease risk and enhancing yield stability. Yield is high: in the Central Chernozem region, it reaches 235-553 centners per hectare, and in the North Caucasus — 220-435 centners per hectare, surpassing standard varieties. Maximum yield can reach 945 centners per hectare. Average yield per square meter is 4-5 kg, making this hybrid attractive for commercial cultivation.
