Description
The plant exhibits high resistance to several diseases, including powdery mildew, virus yellows, target spot, and brown leaf spot, as well as cucumber mosaic virus. The variety shows excellent shade tolerance, especially when grown in the second crop cycle in polytunnels, and tolerates stressful conditions well. Fruit maturity occurs approximately 50 days after planting, allowing use for spring and summer sowings in greenhouses and tunnels. The fruit length-to-diameter ratio is approximately 3:1, giving cucumbers an attractive appearance and convenient shape.
Cucumber Oscar is recommended for cultivation in polytunnels during the first and second crop cycles, enabling farmers to achieve a stable and high yield. The variety combines high stress tolerance, disease resistance, and excellent product quality, making it popular both in fresh vegetable markets and for processing. Due to its characteristics, cucumber Oscar is a reliable choice for professional vegetable production.
