ARABIAN NIGHT

Begonia Arabian Night – a tall variety with a plant height ranging from 100 to 150 cm and a flower diameter between 10–25 cm. The flower features a velvety texture and a rich red-burgundy color scheme: almost black at the base of the petals, transitioning to a deep red at the pointed tips, creating an effect of burning coal.

The flowering period spans summer and autumn months – from July to October, including August and September. This makes the variety popular for creating multi-level flower beds and border compositions, where its bright shades contrast with the greenery of neighboring plants.

For growing Arabian Night, a sunny or partially shaded location is required, along with fertile loamy or sandy soil. Tubers are planted at a depth of 15 cm into warm soil after stable warming. Moderate watering and regular fertilization promote active flowering. In winter, tubers can be stored in sawdust in open wooden boxes at +5–+8 °C, however, the variety is not frost-hardy and requires excavation from the ground.
